November Stamp Of the Month - Cherish the Day and November's Holiday Wishes

Here it is already the 2nd of November and because of some unforseen circumstances, I am without a sample of this month's Stamp of the Month.  Below are some beautiful examples of what you can do with this unique stamp set from CTMH.

Also this month, CTMH is having a promotion called "Holiday Wishes".  When you place a minimum order of $25 in My Acrylix® stamp sets* between November 1–30, you can add a new D-size Holiday Wishes stamp set for only $5! That’s a significant savings off the full retail value of $17.95 US / $19.95 CAN. You may buy one Holiday Wishes stamp set for every $25 in qualifying stamp sets you purchase. As a creative bonus, many of the images in the set coordinate with our Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge for added cutting and stamping fun!

Halloween

HALLOWEEN, to me it's one of those holidays that we celebrated for our kids.  I don't like carving pumpkins and touching all that gook in the middle of it.  In fact, it is Dad's job to carve the pumpkins with our kids.  I was never one to decorate the house or make Halloween cards.  I have friends that would get into costume when they took their kids trick or treating but that wasn't for me either.  So I'm not  sure why I just had to have the Mischief WOTG along with Wicked, August's SOTM.  I have made all the WOTG scrapbook pages as well as a few others, plus I have even made a card or two.  Below is my favorite.  I just love the cobwebs.

Craft Fairs

It has been years since I've done a craft fair and now I have two in two weeks.  Because of this, I have been making cards, layouts, and other miscellaneous items that could be purchased for teachers gifts, etc.  It's not that I don't have the materials to make a ton of items, especially since I was and still am an avid collector of all things paper and any products that can be used with them.  I'm just not sure what people would be looking for.  Hopefully, it will be some of what I'm selling.

These are just a few of the items.  Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Chris

October 2011: Holiday Magic (S1110)

In less than two months Christmas will be here again.  For my kids, that is a long way off and for me, every year it takes me by surprise.  Don't get me wrong, it does cross my mind around this time of year in the form of a cookie list, card list, shopping list etc., and the next thing I know it is mid December, lists are started and I'm rushing to complete. For this I have no excuse, especially since it isn't a holiday that falls on different calendar days each year.

This year I made a promise to myself that I would be ready no matter what.  So when I saw our Stamp of the Month for October, I knew this would be one item I'd be able to cross off my list early this year.  These stamps are so cute and I have gotten a great start on my cards

If you would like to have this stamp set, please click the shop with me icon.  This stamp set can be yours for $5.00 with a $50.00 purchase.

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Procrastination

Procrastination, at times that word should be my middle name.  Procrastinate is exactly what I did when it came to ordering the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge set.  I waited to order it until the end of August and when I did, it was on back order.  Now mind you, although I knew I was going to be ordering it at the end of the month, I was okay with waiting, but once it was on order, I couldn't wait until it shipped.  Imagine my disappointment when I found out it was on back order and the ship date would be on or before September 12th.   I checked my email every day sometimes more than once hoping it was shipping, but no shipping notice came.  Then September 12th and I had received my shipping notice. Well, it was delivered late last week, and I have to tell you, I have been playing with it and having lots of fun.  With 700 images on the cartridge, I think I will be having tons of ideas for a long time. Besides the cartridge, the set also contains 3 stamp sets and chipboard Dimensional Elements providing hours and hours of creative fun.

I made these 2 layouts using Olivia, a paper set from last fall and the Cricut cartridge and stamp set.  I just love the leaf and acorn.

September Stamp of the Month

Hard to believe it's September 1st.  Where has the summer gone?  Was it even here?   Sure didn't seem like it;  I'm sure I missed it!

I do like the fall with all the beautiful colors.  I can even take the crisp colder days of autumn and find joy in them.  The only thing I find depressing about this season is that it leads into winter and I am not a winter person as you may have guessed from my profile.  I very much dislike the snow, sleet and ice but when you live in the upper midwest, complaining gets you no where.  What do I do to keep my spirits up?  I use this time to get caught up on my scrapping, card making and paper crafting of course.

This months SOTM is called Limited Edition, which in a way is very fitting as it can only be purchased in the month of September, so act fast because like the summer it will be gone before you know it.

I made this card using this months SOTM and the Sonoma paper pack.

To see all that this stamp set includes, see the column on the right and DON'T FORGET - through the end of this month, spend $75.00 and you will receive the double stamp set PAIR A PHRASE ABSOLUTELY FREE.

Thanks for looking.  .

Wicked

My daughter took part in a skit this last weekend and her group did their version of the Wizard of Oz.  My daughter played the Wicked Witch and I thought that “Wicked” would be an awesome stamp set to use to make her scrapbook page.

The paper is our Sonoma paper pack which was perfect as her robe and hat were black and purple.

All I need to do now is to add the pictures.

My First Blog

Ok, so when it comes to computers, I can say I'm not a total novice; however, there are some things I have always shied away from, one of which was blogging.

I'm not a great writer and I can sometimes ramble on.  Like a lot of people, I feel that I may not have anything worth while to contribute; but when it comes to making scrapbooks and cards for family and friends, and doing other paper crafts, I find it easier to express myself.

If I'm being totally honest, I will tell you that I'm not that creative.  On the creative scale, I'm probably somewhere in the middle, but Close to My Heart makes being creative so much easier.   We have wonderful how to programs, beautiful paper, easy to use acrylic stamp sets and other terrific products.

We offer a stamp set referred to as STAMP OF THE MONTH.  The retail value is $17.95 but with a $50.00 product purchase, the set can be yours for $5.00 - and now through August 31st,  the set is "WICKED".

And this month only, with the purchase of WICKED, you will get free a bonus stamp set "A TYPEFACE" (retail $6.95) -

In addition, from now until September 30th, as it is National Stamping Month, if your total product order equals $75.00 , you will also get the PAIR A PHRASE double Stamp Set (retail $35.90)-

Celebrate National Stamping Month - Get a FREE My Acrylix double stamp set with your qualifying purchase!

If you were keeping track, for a $75.00 product order in August. you will also receive an additional $60.80 in stamp sets.   I, like everyone else always enjoy getting something for free.

So if you are like me, and enjoy getting free product, check out Close to My Heart, then contact me to set up a home party,  an online party or grab a cup of coffee and shop with me.

Thanks,
Chris
